Michigan’s retail casinos had to temporarily shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kings Club Casino in Brimley was among the casinos that remained closed and never reopened.
The reopening of Kings Club, operated by Bay Mills Indian Community, has been a subject of curiosity for numerous casino enthusiasts in Northern Michigan.
Regrettably, the answer to that question is negative. However, the tribe will enhance the operations of its main establishment, the Bay Mills Resort & Casino, which is located slightly over 2 miles away.
Kings Club Casino permanently closed
Kings Club Casino, along with other casinos across Michigan, was compelled to shut down in March 2020 when the pandemic initially struck.
Kings Club, unlike the rest of the state’s retail casinos, will remain closed and will not resume operations.
According to Michael D. Thomas, the Marketing Director of Bay Mills Resort & Casino, Kings Club has been permanently closed. The casino will now operate solely from the location of Bay Mills Resort & Casino. In order to optimize resources and minimize expenses, the decision was made to focus exclusively on this single location. Additionally, the casino is currently preparing for a hotel expansion project, which is expected to be finished within the next two years.
The address of Kings Club Casino in Brimley was 12140 W Lakeshore Dr.
