BetMGM already off to strong start since Michigan launch
BetMGM emerged as the top online casino operator in Michigan during the initial 10 days after its launch on January 22, generating $11.1 million in revenue, which accounted for 37.7% of the market. Additionally, the brand secured the fourth position in terms of online sports betting handle, with $22.8 million in bets and a market share of 19.8%. Continuing its success, BetMGM maintained its lead in February, surpassing other casino operators with $26.9 million in internet gaming revenue and capturing a market share of 33.8%.
BetMGM and poker players are likely to face increased competition and higher stakes with the introduction of a second legal online poker site in Michigan.

BetMGM promoting weekly, special online poker tournaments
The website promotes daily tournaments with buy-ins starting from a mere 25 cents and going up to $535.
Even before the platform became live, promotions for BetMGM Poker began to gradually appear in user accounts last week.
The platform will offer a wide range of poker variants, including signature tournaments and cash games with buy-ins at different levels. BetMGM Poker allows users to seamlessly integrate their accounts with BetMGM sports betting and online casinos, making fund management convenient with a single wallet. Additionally, users can also enjoy integration with the MGM Resorts’ M life Rewards program.
There are several tournaments being promoted, such as:
- There is a $10,000 tournament held every day at 7 p.m. It requires a buy-in of $109 and guarantees a payout for the top 14 participants.
- Every Thursday at 8 p.m., there is a recurring Progressive Knockout (PKO) Tournament available. The buy-in for this tournament is $320, and it includes bounties.
