This December, Pokerstars Michigan is offering a bundle of holiday tournaments that go well beyond the traditional 12 days of Christmas.
The 25 Days of Tournaments series will kick off early next week, allowing players at the PokerStars clients in Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania to participate.
If you’re a new player, you can register for PokerStars just below this paragraph. However, if you’re a returning user, continue reading to learn about the exciting events happening this month.
How the holiday tournaments will work
Starting on Monday, Dec. 6, the PokerStars Michigan and PokerStars network will kick off the 25 Days of Tournaments theme, which will continue until Thursday, Dec. 30. If you are familiar with advent calendars created for religious reasons or for commercial products like beer, wine, or candy, you’ll easily grasp the concept.
Every day, players in the PokerStars client will be presented with a fresh tournament that is not yet included in the schedule. To discover the tournament type for the next day, you can check at 9 p.m. ET the previous night. Be ready for a surprise!
According to PokerStars, to cater to players of varying levels and involvement, all tournaments will start at 7:30 p.m. ET and offer two buy-in options: $50 and $10. This initiative aims to provide an opportunity for Michigan online poker players at different skill levels to participate in the action.
In addition, participating players in the daily tournament have the opportunity to win various prizes such as tournament tickets, Spin & Go tickets, and chances to join daily $100 freerolls and weekly $1,000 freerolls. These giveaways will be distributed through PokerStars Chest drops.
Nimbler tournaments catching on at PokerStars Michigan
The tournament schedule has been made smaller in size but more extensive in terms of the number of events. This approach is similar to what PokerStars implemented in Michigan and other states last month, where they organized the Fall Fest 50/50 series. This series consisted of 50 tournaments, each requiring a $50 buy-in.
The guarantees offered ranged and amounted to a total of $507,000. However, the participants from Michigan in the Fall Fest 50/50 events ultimately secured winnings of $618,098. Impressively, 42 out of the 50 events managed to attract substantial participation, surpassing their guaranteed amounts.
The Main Event of the eight-handed no-limit hold ’em had a guaranteed prize of $50,000. It attracted a total of 1,172 participants, resulting in a prize pool of $53,326.
