The December poker series was recently announced by BetMGM via its Partypoker US network. The series is scheduled to take place from December 17th to 26th.
Luke Staudenmaier, BetMGM’s director of poker, announced in a company news release that Cheap Stakes is now offering exciting prize opportunities for low-stakes players. This comes right after the successful End Boss series last month, where we held high-stakes events. We are excited to introduce this across all our live markets for the first time.

The inaugural BetMGM Poker Cheap Stakes Tournament Series offers a range of low-stakes tournaments, where players can participate by buying in for either $20 or $50 on a daily basis.
It’s pretty straightforward. There are two events scheduled each day, one at 6:30 p.m. ET and the other at 8 p.m. The specific events and buy-ins alternate between the $50 and $20 events, so make sure to check the schedule before participating.
Overall, the series provides a less substantial amount of guarantees, totaling $102,500.

Michigan Cheap Stakes events list, guarantees
December 17th
- The event is scheduled for 6:30pm Eastern Time and it is a No Limit Hold ‘Em Re-entry tournament with a $10,000 prize pool. The buy-in for this tournament is $50.
- The event is scheduled for 8:00 PM Eastern Time. It is a $2,500 No Limit Hold ‘Em Turbo PKO Bounty Re-entry tournament with a $20 buy-in. Each player has a $9 bounty on their head.
December 18th
- The event is a $2,500 No Limit Hold ‘Em Re-entry 6-Max tournament with a buy-in of $20, scheduled to start at 6:30 pm Eastern Time.
- At 8:00p ET, there will be a $5,000 No Limit Hold ‘Em Turbo PKO Bounty Re-entry tournament. The buy-in for this event is $50, with a bounty of $22.50 on each player.
December 19th
- At 6:30pm Eastern Time, there will be a $10,000 No Limit Hold ‘Em PKO Bounty Re-entry tournament with a $50 buy-in and a $22.50 bounty.
- At 8:00p ET, there will be a No Limit Hold ‘Em Turbo Freezeout tournament with a $20 buy-in, offering a prize pool of $2,500.

December 24th
- At 6:30p ET, there will be a $2,000 No Limit Hold ‘Em PKO Bounty Re-entry tournament available. The buy-in cost is $20, with each player having a $9 bounty on their head.
- At 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, there will be a $4,000 No Limit Hold ‘Em Turbo Re-entry tournament with a $50 buy-in.
December 25th
