The main sportsbook attraction has finally arrived at Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, a little over a year since the introduction of sports betting.

In perfect timing for the football season, the tribal casino in southwest Michigan revealed its brand new Sportsbook Lounge on Monday.

Starting last summer, the Four Winds location of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians opened its doors for bets. However, this season of Michigan sports betting will feature an updated appearance.

Frank Freedman, chief operating officer of Four Winds Casinos, expressed his enthusiasm for the opening of the Sportsbook Lounge at Four Winds New Buffalo, as it meets the increasing demand for sports betting in Michigan. He believes that the well-thought-out layout, design, and finishes of the lounge will offer guests the perfect atmosphere, comfortable seating choices, and excellent views of numerous screens. As they cheer for their beloved teams, guests can also indulge in a refreshing beverage or cocktail.

What’s in the new Sportsbook Lounge at Four Winds Casino?

The recently renovated place boasts a total of 22 TVs, with a remarkable eight of them being massive 85-inch screens, ensuring that guests won’t miss any of the thrilling sports action. Whether they prefer a relaxed setting on comfortable sectional sofas, a more formal atmosphere at dining tables, or a lively experience at the sports bar, there are various seating options available for guests to choose from.

The main entrance near the sportsbook kiosks, opposite Timbers restaurant, allows customers to access the lounge.

The new lounge operates from 4 p.m. until midnight from Mondays to Thursdays. On Fridays and Saturdays, it opens from 2 p.m. and closes at 2 a.m. Sundays have shorter hours, with the lounge running from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. However, the sports betting kiosks are available for use 24 hours a day.

Besides the Sportsbook Lounge, Four Winds also offers sports betting kiosks at its additional two Michigan locations situated in Dowagiac and Hartford.

Former Chicago Bears legend Steve McMichael made the ceremonial first bet in July 2020, marking the introduction of sports betting at Four Winds.

Additionally, Four Winds offers a convenient bet slip creator on its retail casino website, enabling bettors to place their bets remotely. By generating a QR code, users can effortlessly finalize and submit their bets at any Four Winds establishment in MI.

Four Winds online sportsbook, casino launched in February

Furthermore, Four Winds Casinos manages a Michigan-based online sportsbook and online casino combination, which is among the 14 available in the state.

In February, the tribe collaborated with Kambi and became the initial tribal operator to launch its own brand, Four Winds.

According to our sports betting revenue tracker, Four Winds has generated a total of $9.8 million in online casino revenue and has received $2.2 million in sports bets since its launch over a period of five-plus months, until July.

During the upcoming fall football season, The Four Winds online sportsbook will present special promotions, one of which is a 25% profit boost for every NFC North football game. Should a player utilize this profit boost for a minimum of ten weeks throughout the season, they will receive $50 worth of online casino free play if an NFC North team makes it to the Super Bowl.

In South Bend, Indiana, Four Winds operates its fourth casino. In August, the casino introduced Class III amenities, expanding its gaming choices to include table games and slot machines.

There are plans in place for the casino to provide on-site sports betting, although there are currently no expectations for the development of an app.
