With the conclusion of the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, online poker players from Michigan can now redirect their focus towards the newest event, namely the BetMGM Poker Summer Classic.
The series commences on Sunday, July 17th, and continues until Sunday, July 24th.

Over the course of eight days, a total of 25 baseball-themed events will take place. The extravaganza will commence with the highly anticipated First Pitch PKO, ensuring a minimum prize pool of $25,000. As the event reaches its climax on the final day, participants can look forward to the Grand Slam PKO, which guarantees a spectacular prize pool of $30,000.
The Michigan Summer Classic series by BetMGM Poker will present a staggering $179K in guarantees. Additionally, Pennsylvania and New Jersey will each hold their own series, contributing to a total of over $540K in guarantees across the three states.
Out of the 25 events, a minimum of one bounty will be featured each day, making a total of ten bounty events. This will also include the $25K and $30K tournaments.

Following the BetMGM Poker Championship held at ARIA Resort and Casino in Las Vegas in late June, this online series has now been launched.
Joey Weissman emerged victorious, walking away with the championship and a hefty sum of $224,236.
Steve Bayyouk and Ryan Shinevare from Michigan earned $19,757 each by securing the 11th and 12th positions. It is worth mentioning that they both qualified through BetMGM Poker’s online platform. Benji Felson from New Jersey, who landed in fifth place, was the sole online qualifier to surpass their rankings.
Luke Staudenmaier, BetMGM Director of Poker, expressed his excitement about the upcoming Summer Classic online event, following the successful momentum gained in Las Vegas. In a statement, he highlighted that the Classic, which focuses on America’s beloved pastime, offers a wide range of buy-in levels and game variants to cater to all players.
