Michigan online casinos now offer an expanded selection of live dealer games.
On Thursday, BetMGM Michigan and TwinSpires Online Casino expanded their offerings with the addition of three new live dealer options. Lightning Roulette, Three Card Poker, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em are now accessible to players seeking an enhanced gaming experience.
Other Evolution partners can also be expected to include the games in the future.
Lightning Roulette, 3 Card Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em join Michigan live dealer lineup
Evolution is a prominent partner if your online casino offers live dealer games, as these three games now join the existing collection of Blackjack, Infinite Blackjack, Roulette, and Baccarat in the state.
Out of the 15 online casinos in Michigan, Evolution is utilized by all except three. Among these, two do not offer any live dealer game options.
After the successful launch of their online casino in April, Eagle Casino & Sports has now revealed their collaboration with Evolution.
In July of last year, Evolution was granted approval by the Michigan Gaming Control Board, and it currently operates from its studio located in Southfield.
How to play Lightning Roulette
Lightning Roulette bears resemblance to the traditional roulette game, with the exception that during every spin, lightning strikes between one and five fortuitous numbers. These fortunate numbers are then bestowed with amplified payouts, ranging from a multiplier of 50x to an astonishing 500x.
In a standard live roulette game, players have the opportunity to place bets on the entire range of roulette bets. However, additional opportunities to win arise from the inclusion of randomly generated lucky numbers and lucky payouts.
Multipliers include:
- 50x
- 100x
- 200x
- 300x
- 400x
- 500x
Once all bets have been placed, the quantity of lucky numbers, the actual lucky numbers, and the corresponding lucky payouts are generated randomly. If the ball lands on any of these lucky numbers and a player has placed a straight bet on that number, they will receive a payout ranging from 50 to 500 times their initial bet.
Straight bets that are not multiplied will result in a payout of 30-1 instead of the usual 35-1 odds. However, all other types of bets, including splits, corners, red/black, and dozens, will still pay out according to the standard roulette odds.
How to play Three Card Poker
3-Card Poker stands out with its simplicity in comparison to games such as Ultimate Texas Hold’em and Let It Ride. Its straightforward strategy makes it easily approachable for newcomers, while still providing seasoned table game enthusiasts with an enjoyable experience.
To start the game, three cards are distributed to each player and the dealer. Depending on the quality of your hand, you have the choice to either play or fold. In addition, there are two enticing side bets available, offering the chance to win substantial amounts of money. Enthusiasts of this game highly value the ‘Pairs+’ side bet, considering it an indispensable element of the game.
Players must post a bet, commonly referred to as the ante, before any hand is dealt.
After the cards are distributed, players and the dealer receive their respective cards. Your cards will be facing up, whereas the dealer’s cards will remain hidden. Once you have observed your hand, you must make a decision on whether to “play” or not. If you choose to play, you must place an additional bet that matches the size of the ante. On the other hand, if you decide to fold, your initial ante bet will be taken away.
If you choose to play, the dealer will show their hand and compare it to yours. If the dealer’s hand is superior, following standard poker hand rankings, you will lose both the ante and the play portion of your bet. On the other hand, if your hand is stronger, you will instantly win your ante bet.
In order to win, the dealer must meet the qualification rule. If the dealer’s hand is Queen high or better, you will receive a payout for your ‘play’ bet. However, if the dealer does not meet the qualification, the bet will be considered a push, and your stake will be promptly returned.
Besides the primary action, there are two additional side bets available for those seeking extra excitement.
Pair+: This side bet offers payouts based on the value of your own 3 cards. If you achieve any of these specific hands, you will receive the corresponding odds as your reward.
- Pair: 1-1
- Flush: 3-1
- Straight: 6-1
- A combination of three cards with the same rank: odds of 30-1.
- Straight Flush: 40-1
- The payout for a Mini Royal Flush (AKQ suited) is 200-1.
The 6 Card Bonus is a side bet that involves creating the strongest 5-card hand by combining your 3 cards and the dealer’s 3 cards. How to play Ultimate Texas Hold’em
Ultimate Texas Hold’em adopts the widely known poker game played globally, albeit in a modified casino style.
Unlike traditional poker games where you compete against fellow players, this game pits you against the house in a one-on-one battle. What sets this game apart is its distinctive betting system, allowing you the freedom to decide when to place your bets during each hand. This unique aspect injects a strategic element into ‘UTH’ that is absent in other poker table games found in casinos.
In Ultimate Texas Hold’em, a deck of cards is used for the game. The game begins by placing an ante and a blind of the same value. At this stage, you and the dealer receive your two hole-cards, with your cards facing upwards and the dealer’s cards facing downwards.
You have the option to either place a bet or skip to the next step without betting. In this phase, you can choose to bet either 4 times or 3 times the ante/blind. If you decide to place a bet of either 3 times or 4 times the ante/blind, the betting process will come to an end, and the hand will proceed until a resolution. The amount of your bet depends on the quality of your own cards.
Once you reach this stage, the initial three community cards, also known as the ‘flop’, will have been dealt. At this point, you can choose between betting 2 times the ante/blind or checking once more. Opting to bet will result in the hand playing through until the end.
Once you have verified twice, the last two community cards are unveiled. At this point, you can choose between placing a bet equal to 1x the ante/blind or folding without taking any further action.
Payout odds
The system for payouts can appear intricate due to the distinct rules governing the ante, blind, and raise bets.
If you emerge victorious in the hand, any wagers made after the initial ante/blind will yield a 1-to-1 payout, effectively doubling your investment on those raises. Consequently, the sooner you place your bets in the hand, the greater the number of bet units that will be doubled.
If the dealer has a hand with at least a pair, the initial ante bet will yield a 1-to-1 payout. However, if the dealer’s hand has a value lower than a pair, this bet will result in a push.
The payout of blind bets depends on the strength of your hand. If your hand is weaker than a straight and you win, the bet will be considered a push. However, as the quality of your hand improves, the payouts increase rapidly. Below is the blind bet pay table:
- Straight: 1-1
- Flush: 3-2
- Full House: 3-1
- 10-1: Four of a Kind
- Straight Flush: 50-1
- Royal Flush: 500-1
The payout for this optional side bet is determined solely by the strength of your final poker hand, and it is completely separate from the hand you are playing against the dealer.

- A Four of a Kind hand pays out at odds of 30-1.
