Rothstein expressed his excitement about being involved with FanDuel, stating that he is thrilled to be in the current situation. He emphasized that the partnership with FanDuel allows him to combine his independently created content seamlessly, fulfilling his search for a platform where he can showcase all his digital dimensions. Rothstein is optimistic about the future and looks forward to progressing further with FanDuel.

Rothstein not impressed with Big Ten
The lackluster performance of the Big Ten Conference was a major highlight of the NCAA Tournament over the past weekend.
Out of all the conferences, Purdue and Michigan are the only teams to have made it to the Sweet 16 in March Madness, despite the conference having a total of nine bids.
In 2021, the setting was quite similar, as Michigan emerged as the only conference team to advance to the second weekend, despite the B1G securing an additional nine bids.
“The Big Ten’s performance is quite disheartening,” expressed Rothstein. “With a staggering eighteen bids in the past two NCAA tournaments, it’s quite disappointing to see only three appearances in the Sweet 16. Moreover, it’s been an alarming 22 years since the Big Ten last secured a national championship. Regardless of the number of teams they send to the NCAA Tournament, the reality remains unchanged: it’s high time for them to start achieving victories.”
On Thursday night, the Michigan Wolverines, currently ranked as an 11 seed, surprisingly face Villanova as the clear underdog in the South Regional semifinal game. However, Rothstein firmly believes that this Michigan team is displaying a level of performance reminiscent of their preseason title-contending status.
“The team we witnessed during the final month of the season had the capability to achieve this. During the first game against Colorado State, both Eli Brooks and Hunter Dickinson, who played a crucial role in their Elite Eight run last year, performed exceptionally well. Additionally, the victory against Tennessee was a remarkable team effort. Therefore, the outcome does not come as a surprise,” he stated. “I believed that Michigan had the potential to make a significant impact in this tournament bracket. While they may not possess the traditional Cinderella status in terms of their name recognition, they embody the spirit of a Cinderella team, much like UCLA did last year.”
What to look for this weekend
Thus far, the 2022 NCAA Tournament has been filled with a plethora of upsets, making it an exhilarating and unpredictable competition.
Rothstein has found the pair of ACC underdogs to be the most pleasant surprise among the remaining field.
The development of North Carolina’s quartet reaching their peak is significant. When they won against Duke, it became evident that their core four players, Caleb Love, R.J. Davis, Brady Manek, and Armando Bacot, can compete with any other group in college basketball. They have demonstrated their abilities exceptionally well. Another surprising aspect is the impressive performance of Miami’s guards in the NCAA Tournament. With 32 assists and only seven turnovers in two games, their small-ball lineup has proven to be advantageous.
During the regional finals weekend, Rothstein’s expectations align with what we witnessed last week.
He expressed his anticipation of chaos and continued to provide an example. He highlighted the current top four seeds in the NCAA Tournament, stating, “Arizona faced a challenging situation akin to being at the bottom of the ninth inning with two outs and two strikes, yet managed to secure a victory against TCU. Kansas narrowly escaped a game against Creighton, who were missing two key players. Baylor suffered a loss to Carolina, and Gonzaga faced a scare from Memphis before mounting a comeback. Therefore, I anticipate more fiercely contested games and a significant amount of unpredictability.”
