Following the conclusion of Super Bowl 53, the Michigan Lottery has unveiled a fresh “sports-inspired virtual scratch ticket” designed to attract both current and prospective players.
Inspired Entertainment and Instant Win Gaming (IWG) have teamed up to create the innovative game, Endzone Payout.
The outcome of a symbol match lottery game is revealed using a video clip of a single football play through Endzone Payout.
Michigan Lottery appealing to new customers
President and Chief Operating Officer at Inspired Entertainment, Brooks Pierce, expressed his pride in the release of this exciting and captivating new product for lotteries. He further stated his enthusiasm in launching it for the first time in Michigan.
In their quest to attract a younger customer base, lotteries nationwide have been actively seeking fresh and creative approaches. One promising strategy involves leveraging what experts consider to be the most heavily wagered Super Bowl in history.
IWG CEO Rhydian Fisher expressed his excitement as our first US lottery customer launched one of the most innovative games to enter the North American lottery market in recent years. Fisher described Endzone Payout as a game that seamlessly incorporates the thrill of instant win mechanics with captivating virtual sports animations, all wrapped in a straightforward concept.
As illegal offshore sportsbooks continue to proliferate, customers may find solace in the simplicity of an online lottery game.
According to Shannon DeHaven, Deputy Commissioner of Digital Operations at Michigan Lottery, she expressed the following statement:
We are confident that our newly launched sports-themed digital instant ticket game will attract both our current players and new players.
Betting on the Super Bowl
Super Bowl 53 saw an estimated one in ten American adults intending to place bets, as per a recent survey published by the American Gaming Association (AGA).
An estimated $6 billion is projected to be placed in bets by Americans for the upcoming game between the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
According to Bill Miller, the president and CEO of AGA, the demand for legal and regulated sports betting in the United States is currently at its peak.
He stated that a record number of Americans will now have the opportunity to place their bets through legal sportsbooks in eight states. This will generate significant revenue for state, local, and tribal governments while also enhancing fan involvement with the game.
Sports betting has been legalized in seven states since the US Supreme Court made its decision in May.
