March’s $171.8 million established a momentary benchmark across the nation that seemed difficult to surpass. Nonetheless, April managed to exceed the previous second-place record in Michigan from January 2025, which stood at $153.7 million.
April’s revenue experienced a growth of 20.3% compared to the $132.4 million generated in April 2022.
Paul Costanzo, the lead analyst for Playinmichigan, stated that Michigan online casinos had yet another remarkable month, although falling slightly short of the record revenue achieved in March. Despite this, the total of $159 million still stands as the second-highest month in history, marking a 20% surge compared to April 2022 when it set the state record. Costanzo believes that there is still room for growth in this sector.

In April, Caesars achieved its highest position ever among Michigan operators, ranking fourth. This accomplishment was driven by a record-breaking month, surpassing BetRivers ($8.3 million) to secure the fourth spot.
In April, WynnBet Casino MI achieved a new record by generating $5.7 million in revenue, surpassing its previous benchmark of $5.6 million in November 2022 by a slight increase of 2.9%.
PointsBet sits last again as US sale agreement announced
PointsBet Casino MI once again continued its trend of finishing last in revenue among the 15 online operators for April.
In January, the recorded revenue of $1.4 million was the lowest it had been. The closest competition, SI Casino MI, earned $1.5 million in revenue.
Fanatics recently declared its agreement to acquire PointsBet’s US operations, which is anticipated to be completed in the upcoming months. This deal will grant Fanatics the opportunity to expand its presence in more than a dozen states where sports betting is legalized, along with access to four online casinos, including those in Michigan.
Last week, PointsBet faced a cryptocurrency email scam sent out to its customers, indicating that the company might encounter additional challenges in May.
