What is BetMGM ‘Bounty Blitz Poker Fest’?
The “Bounty Blitz Poker Fest” by BetMGM Poker is set to feature a series of three online poker events daily, from Sunday, Feb. 20, to Sunday, Feb. 27. Additionally, New Jersey and Pennsylvania will be hosting their own separate tournaments.
The range of buy-ins for these tournaments spans from $35 to $1,000, while the bounties available for players to earn by eliminating others range from $10 to $500. Bounty tournaments offer the opportunity for participants to collect a monetary reward for each player they successfully eliminate.
In order to participate, players must be physically present within the state of Michigan during the tournaments.
Luke Staudenmaier, Director of Poker at BetMGM, announced that Bounty Blitz will showcase one of the most captivating poker formats throughout the entire series. He expressed enthusiasm for introducing more bounty-focused events at affordable price points, following the success of the New Year Knockout Weekend.
When are the ‘Bounty Blitz Poker Fest’ events?
The events are only taking place during the evening and nighttime.
- On Sunday, February 20th, there will be three exciting bounty tournaments happening. The first one starts at 5 p.m. and is called the $500 Double Black Chip Bounty. It has a buy-in of $500, with a bounty of $200 on each player.<br><br>At 7 p.m., the second tournament takes place, named the $75 Green Chip Bounty. The buy-in for this one is $75, and there is a bounty of $25 on each player.<br><br>Lastly, at 9 p.m., the $50 Triple Red Chip Bounty Turbo tournament begins. It has a buy-in of $50, with a bounty of $15 on each player.
- On Monday, February 21st, there are three poker tournaments scheduled. <br>At 6:30 p.m., there will be a $50 Triple Red Chip Bounty Turbo tournament. It has a buy-in of $50 with a bounty of $15.<br>Following that, at 8 p.m., there is a $100 Double Green Chip Bounty tournament. The buy-in is $100, and the bounty is $50.<br>Lastly, at 9 p.m., there will be a $35 Double Red Chip Bounty Hyper tournament. The buy-in is $35, and the bounty is $10.
- On Tuesday, February 22nd, there will be three exciting bounty tournaments at the following times: <br>- At 6:30 p.m., there will be the $75 Green Chip Bounty with a buy-in of $75 and a $25 bounty.<br>- At 8 p.m., there will be the $35 Double Red Chip Bounty with a buy-in of $35 and a $10 bounty.<br>- Lastly, at 9 p.m., there will be the $50 Triple Red Chip Bounty Turbo with a buy-in of $50 and a $15 bounty.
- On Wednesday, February 23rd, there will be three poker tournaments with different buy-ins and bounties. The first tournament is the $50 Triple Red Chip Bounty, starting at 6:30 p.m., with a $50 buy-in and a $15 bounty. The second tournament, the $100 Double Green Chip Bounty, begins at 8 p.m., has a $100 buy-in, and a $50 bounty. Lastly, the $35 Double Red Chip Bounty tournament will take place at 9 p.m., with a $35 buy-in and a $10 bounty.
- On Thursday, February 24th, there will be three bounty tournaments taking place. The first tournament is the $200 Black Chip Bounty, starting at 6:30 p.m. It has a buy-in of $200, with a bounty prize of $100. The second tournament is the $75 Green Chip Bounty, starting at 8 p.m. It has a buy-in of $75, with a $25 bounty prize. Finally, at 9 p.m., there will be the $50 Triple Red Chip Bounty Turbo tournament. It has a buy-in of $50, with a $15 bounty prize.
- On Friday, February 25th, there will be three exciting poker tournaments at the following times:<br><br>- At 6:30 p.m., a $50 Triple Red Chip Bounty tournament will take place. The buy-in for this event is $50, and each player will have a $15 bounty on their head.<br><br>- At 8 p.m., there will be a $100 Double Green Chip Bounty tournament. Players will need to pay a $100 buy-in, with a $50 bounty placed on each player.<br><br>- Finally, at 9 p.m., a $35 Double Red Chip Bounty Hyper tournament will commence. The buy-in for this event is $35, and players will carry a $10 bounty.
- On Saturday, February 26th, there will be three exciting bounty tournaments at the following times: <br><br>- At 6:30 p.m., there will be the $200 Black Chip Bounty, requiring a $200 buy-in with a $100 bounty. <br>- At 8 p.m., the $100 Green Chip Bounty will take place, with a buy-in of $100 and a $25 bounty. <br>- Lastly, at 9 p.m., there will be the $50 Triple Red Chip Bounty Turbo, where players can enter with a $50 buy-in and a $15 bounty.

The first tournament, starting at 5 p.m., is the $1,000 Purple Chip Bounty, where players can buy-in for $1,000 and have a chance to win a $500 bounty. At 7 p.m., the $50 Green Chip Bounty tournament begins, with a buy-in of $50 and a $25 bounty on each player. Lastly, at 9 p.m., the $100 Double Green Chip Bounty tournament takes place, offering a $100 buy-in and a $50 bounty for each player.
First major BetMGM event since PokerStars outage
Following a four-day outage experienced by its sole online competitor in Michigan, PokerStars MI, at the start of the month, BetMGM is gearing up for its first major event called the Bounty Blitz.
Michigan’s top online poker provider experienced unexpected maintenance downtime from Friday, February 4, and did not resume operation until mid-day on Tuesday, February 8.
BetMGM did not disclose exact figures, but it did acknowledge experiencing a rise in volume during that weekend.
