Similar to previous BetMGM Online Series, this Michigan online poker event consisted of 10 tournaments taking place across a span of eight days.
The initial day of the series showcased an exciting moment in the lowest buy-in event. With a $5,000 guarantee, the $20 no-limit hold’em event managed to attract an astounding 1,985 participants, resulting in a prize pool of $35,730. This amount exceeded the guarantee by more than sevenfold.
The story continues with a similar theme to the previous June edition of the series. In the previous month, the same event with a $20 buy-in and a $5,000 guarantee had an even larger number of participants, resulting in a prize pool exceeding $39,000.
In the beginning, there were smaller overlays present during the initial events. Among them was the first tournament, which had a buy-in of $535 and fell short of its guarantee by only one entry. However, the most significant overlay occurred later in the week during a $215 buy-in event with a guaranteed prize pool of $25,000. With only 80 participants, the overlay amounted to $9,000.
Despite a slow start, Sunday’s last day of the series showed a promising turnaround. The second-to-last event, which required a $109 buy-in and guaranteed $35,000, exceeded expectations with a prize pool surpassing $45,000. In addition, the highly anticipated finale, with a buy-in of $1,060, attracted 101 participants and generated a prize pool of $101,000, far surpassing the guaranteed amount of $75,000.

Total awarded nearly matches April high; August series already loaded
The prize money awarded, amounting to $353,530, almost equaled the $360,302 won in the initial edition of the BetMGM Poker MI series in April. Furthermore, it surpasses the nearly $348,000 given out during the June series.
In terms of success, the series experienced its least fruitful month in May. During that period, BetMGM Poker MI attempted to increase the total guarantees to $315,000. However, they ended up having to pay out approximately $65,000 in overlays.
The BetMGM poker client has already released a new version of the same series for the month of August.
