Series follows successful BetMGM Poker Championship
Following the BetMGM Poker Championship held in late June at ARIA Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, this online series has been launched.
Joey Weissman emerged as the champion, walking away with a grand total of $224,236 in prize money.
Steve Bayyouk and Ryan Shinevare from Michigan earned $19,757 each by securing the 11th and 12th positions, respectively. They both qualified through BetMGM Poker’s online platform. However, Benji Felson from New Jersey, who finished fifth, was the sole online qualifier to surpass their rankings.
Luke Staudenmaier, BetMGM Director of Poker, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming online event, the Summer Classic. He mentioned that they are eager to build upon the success they achieved in Las Vegas. The Classic, themed around America’s favorite pastime, offers a wide range of buy-in levels and game variants to cater to all players.
