Both Oakland University and University of Detroit Mercy will commence their postseason as the Horizon League men’s basketball tournament kicks off on Tuesday night.

How to watch the Horizon League tournament

On Thursday, during the second round, the top four seeds will join the competition as hosts. ESPN+ will broadcast all games in the first two rounds, starting at either 7 or 8 p.m.
The semifinal matches are scheduled for Monday, March 7th, at Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis. The first match will begin at 7 p.m. and will be televised on ESPNU, while the second match will start at 9:30 p.m. and will be aired on ESPN2.

After a remarkable victory against the number one seeded Cleveland State, the Golden Grizzlies enter the conference tournament with great momentum.
This past Saturday, Oakland secured a 65-57 home victory against the Vikings, earning them the fifth seed in the tournament. Additionally, the win brought Cleveland State into a tie with Purdue Fort Wayne, who concluded the season with an impressive nine-game winning streak.
Oakland had a rollercoaster season, concluding with a record of 19-11 overall and 12-7 in conference play. The team started strong, winning their initial seven Horizon League games. However, they faced some setbacks towards the end, losing six out of their last nine matches.
The victory over Cleveland State put an end to a three-game losing streak.
