As a dedicated Detroit Lions fan, following your NFL prop bets throughout the season serves as the driving force that helps you endure the challenges of every intense game week.
There is no need to emphasize the obvious: Dan Campbell, Jared Goff, and the rest of the Lions are currently 0-7. For several weeks now, Detroit has been the only team in the 2021 NFL season without a win. Additionally, various sportsbooks have offered odds on the Lions going 0-17.
Continuing in this manner, the struggle has persisted.
Despite the challenges, sports betting in Michigan has remained available for season-long player prop markets throughout this NFL season.
In the past, we have reviewed some of the unlikely 2021 NFL prop bets that you may have considered. We will revisit them again next week, specifically when the Lions finally reach their bye week.
After every game, we take a look at the progress made by the players. The upcoming update will be released once the Lions face the Philadelphia Eagles, a struggling franchise where a victory doesn’t appear to be out of reach.
Keep in mind that in a 17-game season, each week now makes up 5.9% of the entire season. Therefore, we have reached the 41.2% milestone in the season after completing Week 7.

Detroit Lions DraftKings special prop bets
DraftKings Sportsbook not only provides standard team futures but also offers a variety of unique regular-season betting markets and parlay combinations.
D’Andre Swift over 51.5 receptions AND Breshad Perriman (now with the Chicago Bears) over 740.5 receiving yards, +250
Swift had 42 catches, while Perriman did not gain any yards.
It should be noted that Perriman has not been included in the Chicago Bears’ active roster for any game since being released by the Lions during the preseason. Consequently, this bet can be considered a definite defeat.
Jamaal Williams over 725.5 rushing yards AND T.J. Hockenson over 5.5 receiving touchdowns, +225
Williams had a total of 312 yards, while Hockenson managed to score 2 touchdowns.
Jared Goff over 21.5 touchdown passes AND D’Andre Swift over 7.5 rushing touchdowns AND T.J. Hockenson over 775.5 receiving yards, +550
Goff throws for 8 touchdowns, Swift scores 3 touchdowns, and Hockenson gains 359 yards.
Romeo Okwara over 8.5 sacks AND Amon-Ra St. Brown over 500.5 receiving yards, +275
Okwara recorded one sack, while St. Brown accumulated 204 yards.
It should be mentioned that Okwara allegedly sustained a torn Achilles tendon during the game against the Bears in Week 4, which is likely to cut short his season (and potentially affect the outcome of this bet).
Lions-focused DraftKings match prop bets
There were also a couple of head-to-head bets on DraftKings that specifically featured Lions players.
More passing yards: Jared Goff (-150) vs. Ryan Fitzpatrick (+115)
Goff has accumulated a total of 1,773 yards, while Fitzpatrick has only gained 13 yards.
It is worth mentioning that Fitzpatrick’s hip injury is taking more time than anticipated to heal, and national reports state that another MRI is scheduled in two weeks. Consequently, regardless of how the rest of the season unfolds, it seems that Goff is a secure choice for the victory.
More passing touchdowns: Jared Goff (-110) vs. Zach Wilson (-120)
Goff scored 8 touchdowns while Wilson only managed to score 4.
It is worth mentioning that Goff is also benefiting from the injury bug, as Wilson is anticipated to be out for several weeks due to a sprained PCL in his right knee.
More rushing yards: D’Andre Swift (-165) vs. Mike Davis (+120)
Swift rushed for 262 yards, while Davis accumulated 214 yards.
More rushing touchdowns: D’Andre Swift (-130) vs. David Montgomery (+100)
Montgomery scored 3 touchdowns, while Swift also scored 3 touchdowns.
It is important to mention that Montgomery may return from injured reserve this week. However, Swift’s performance in the running game has been noticeably weaker compared to his contributions in the passing game. As a result, this prediction still seems uncertain.
