In a recent announcement on Thursday, Soaring Eagle revealed its plans to introduce betting services at its sports bar, which will be renamed Ascend Sports Book & Lounge by mid-January.
A technology partner for sports betting has yet to be announced by the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe. According to the press release, this announcement will be made in the “near future.”

Sister property Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel in Standish, along with its Creekside Lounge and The Slot Palace and Bingo Hall in Mount Pleasant, will now offer sports betting options.

The enhancements will consist of a greater number of televisions, betting kiosks, a betting window, and a ticker tape. These improvements will be implemented gradually, beginning with the introduction of kiosk betting until the betting window modifications are fully finished.
If Soaring Eagle and Saganing Eagles Landing are included, the total number of casinos in Michigan offering sports betting would be 16, in addition to the existing 26 casinos in the state, 23 of which are tribal-owned.

Nevertheless, the tribe will be the final among Michigan’s 15 casino operators to disclose a technological or operational collaborator for their online ventures.
Online gambling in Michigan is set to launch in the near future, with a potential start date as early as this month.
As the election fallout concludes and the Michigan Gaming Control Board convenes on Tuesday, Nov. 10, it is imperative to establish clearer guidelines.
