Adding to the full WSOP schedule
WSOP MI offers eight bracelet events, while WSOP PA presents its own eight, and WSOP NV/NJ hosts an additional 13 for their respective players. Alongside these 29 events, the World Series of Poker showcases 88 thrilling competitions at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas, culminating in a grand Tournament of Champions.
From May 31 to July 20, the WSOP takes place, offering a variety of tournaments for players of all budgets. Key attractions include the thrilling $500 “The Housewarming” tournament during the opening weekend, boasting a guaranteed prize pool of $5 million. Additionally, the highly sought-after $1,500 “Monster Stack” and “Millionaire Maker” events will take place in mid-June. For the high rollers, the prestigious $50,000 Poker Players Championship will run from June 26 to June 30.
The $10,000 Main Event is set to commence on Sunday, July 3rd, and will span over a period of 14 days until culminating in the proclamation of a World Champion on Saturday, July 16th.
Will future WSOP MI online bracelets be won amongst NV and NJ players?
On March 28, WSOP MI was launched, shortly followed by Michigan’s acceptance into the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA) on April 7. The Michigan Gaming Control Board has recently confirmed its participation in the agreement.
This implies that the competition among states, including Nevada, New Jersey, and Delaware, is now closer than ever before.
Currently, online poker in Michigan is limited to players within the state’s boundaries until WSOP (or another operator) fulfills the MGCB’s conditions to enable interstate poker. As a result, these events are restricted to participants located within Michigan.
Once the requirements are fulfilled, WSOP MI tournament pools can combine with those in Nevada and New Jersey, resulting in even larger fields and prize pools. Additionally, this merging will offer players from the Midwest a more convenient opportunity to participate.
One of the most significant advantages is that it could serve as a guide for other states to follow suit and legalize online poker.
