In 2000, the Victories Casino was established by the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians after transforming a bowling alley and restaurant located on U.S. 131 in Bear Creek Township.

In 2013, plans were made to demolish Victories Casino after the Tribe outgrew the property. They had built the $120 million Odawa Casino Resort on nearby Lears Road to replace it, which opened on June 20, 2007.

The newly constructed facility covers an extensive area of almost 300,000 square feet, comprising a gaming floor of 50,000 square feet hosting nearly 1,000 slots and 35 table games. In 2014, the Odawa Hotel underwent renovation, resulting in the addition of 127 guest rooms, 10 luxurious suites, and the inclusion of an indoor pool and hot tub.
