BetMGM has reached a significant milestone by becoming the inaugural online casino operator in Michigan to surpass $1 billion in revenue, providing ample cause for celebration.
In December, it reached $54.4 million, bringing its total for 2022 to $589 million. Furthermore, this amount pushed its cumulative earnings to slightly over $1 billion in two years. At present, the exact total stands at $1,006,111,563.
Since the launch of online casinos in January 2021, BetMGM Michigan has consistently been the frontrunner in revenue generation, leading the race every month. To date, it has contributed 37.3% to Michigan’s overall online casino revenue of $2.7 billion.
Big names record big months
Some of Michigan’s largest online operators fueled a surge, leading to a record-breaking month for the state.
In their respective domains, BetMGM Michigan, FanDuel Casino MI, DraftKings Casino MI, and Caesars Casino MI achieved unprecedented levels of revenue, each setting remarkable records.

Both DraftKings and Caesars experienced significant increases in their revenue this month. DraftKings surpassed its previous record of $23.3 million in November by nearly $3 million. Similarly, Caesars saw a notable jump from its previous record of $6.5 million in May 2022.
Gun Lake takes a drop
The online casino operators experienced some negative news last month.
The online casino of Gun Lake experienced a significant decrease in revenue, recording only $520,248. This marks a substantial 73% decline compared to the $1.9 million in revenue generated in November.
Gun Lake’s lowest recorded total since its first full month of operation in May 2021 is also December’s total.
