PokerStars MI Half Price Sunday
Online poker players in the state have the opportunity to participate in five tournaments on Sunday, all at a discounted rate of half the usual price. Each of these tournaments will be of the no-limit hold ’em variety.
The main attraction of the event is the $45,000 Sunday Special, commencing at 6 p.m. The top three participants will receive cash prizes, with the winner taking home a substantial amount of nearly $23,000.
The discounted tournaments kick off at 4 p.m. with the Sunday Warm-up, where players can join for only $15 and compete for a prize pool of $4,000. Following that, at 5 p.m., is the Sunday Storm, which has a buy-in of $5 and a prize pool of $2,500. At 7 p.m., the Sunday Special and Sunday High Roller take place, with a buy-in of $125 and a prize pool of $15,000. Finally, at 10 p.m., the fast-paced Sunday Supersonic begins, requiring a $25 buy-in and offering a prize pool of $5,000.
To locate the tournaments, access the PokerStars MI app and select the “Half Price Sunday” tab. Alternatively, you can search for tournaments by typing “Half Price” in the search bar.
In order to take part in the Michigan tournaments, players must be physically present within the state.
Michigan man wins three MISCOOP titles
The special follows closely on the heels of the SCOOP series, which includes the recently concluded MISCOOP on April 11.
PokerStars experienced a groundbreaking achievement with a record-breaking SCOOP. The combined prize pool across Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey exceeded $6.4 million, with Main Event Sunday alone offering over $1 million in winnings.
There were 111,863 participants in online poker, resulting in 345 Champions of Online Poker and the awarding of 90 Spring Championship Trophies.
On the final day of the series, Jason Welsch from Gowen, Michigan, achieved an impressive feat by claiming three MISCOOP titles. His remarkable performance earned him a grand total of over $5,300 in winnings.
According to Welsch, he informed US Poker that he became a member of PokerStars and commenced playing using the funds he had acquired through fantasy football.
