The winning ticket for the May 5, 2021 drawing at Warren Market on Mound Road in Warren was sold. Unfortunately, the prize remained unclaimed and expired at 4:45 p.m. on May 5, 2022.
The funds from the unclaimed prize were moved over to the School Aid Fund of the state.
On April 25, a ticket that was bought at Pine Knob Wine Shoppe in Clarkston and won $150,000 in the April 24, 2021 drawing, expired.

In fiscal year 2021, the Michigan Lottery made a record-breaking contribution of $1.419 billion, marking the seventh consecutive year of such achievement.
How to play for Powerball jackpot in Michigan
You can buy Powerball tickets for $2 through three different methods: online by clicking “Play Now” above, using the Michigan lottery app, or visiting an authorized Michigan lottery retailer. These tickets can be purchased until 9:45 p.m. on the day of the draw.
The upcoming drawing will take place on Wednesday, May 11th, and offers an estimated prize of $68 million, with a cash value of $39 million.
Lottery players from 45 states, along with Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, have access to Powerball.
For an additional $1, Power Play tickets can be purchased to boost non-jackpot prizes by 10 times, with a maximum limit of $2 million. Alternatively, by adding a Double Play ticket for $1, players get an extra opportunity to win $10 million in the Double Play drawing.
In order to claim the jackpot, participants must successfully match all five white balls, along with the PowerBall.
