This week marks the 15th anniversary of Saganing Eagles Landing Casino’s successful operation.
The Standish-based casino and hotel have scheduled a vibrant weekend filled with events and promotions to celebrate the occasion. From Friday, January 13 to Sunday, January 15, visitors can enjoy a series of exciting events and enticing giveaways.

Saganing Eagles Landing 15th Anniversary ceremony
The start of the anniversary weekend will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, commencing with a one-hour ceremony held inside the casino.
The ceremony will include:
- A captivating display of dance by the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribal performers.
- Alice Jo Ricketts, the tribal chaplain, offered a heartfelt prayer.
- Greetings and warm salutations from the esteemed tribal chief, Theresa Peters-Jackson.
- The Onion Creek Singers & Dancers put on a captivating show.
- A spokesperson from Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel addresses the audience.
- The council representatives conclude the session with their closing remarks.
- To commemorate 15 years of operation, a cake will be sliced.
Special Saganing Eagles Landing anniversary promotions
There will be special hot seat drawings happening throughout the 15th anniversary weekend for Saganing Eagles Landing.
The drawings are scheduled to take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Each day, the drawings will be conducted from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Lucky winners of the drawing will be rewarded with $1,500 in cash.
On Friday and Saturday, there will also be live music available from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m.

In the course of 15 years, the Standish casino has experienced remarkable growth and progress. A significant milestone was reached in 2017 when the casino underwent a renovation project, resulting in an impressive addition of over 138,000 square feet to its premises.
A 148-room hotel was finished by Saganing Eagles Landing in mid-2019.
According to Tanya Bardy, the Advertising and Public Relations Manager for Saganing Eagles Landing, the past 15 years have been filled with numerous successes for the casino and hotel. One notable achievement was the establishment of a 148-room hotel in 2019, alongside the expansion of the gaming floor. This expansion resulted in an impressive collection of over 1,100 slot machines for guests to enjoy. Furthermore, the hotel’s amenities now include an indoor pool, jacuzzi, fitness center, and meeting space. Additionally, the casino expansion brought forth an array of dining options and an additional 200 slot machines for visitors to explore.
In April of last year, Saganing Eagles Landing entered the realm of legalized sports betting. They introduced the Creekside Lounge Sportsbook, providing a venue for guests to enjoy watching sports, placing bets, and grabbing a meal all at once.
In 2022, SELCH introduced its inaugural summer concert series, which is set to make a comeback in 2025.
Bardy expressed excitement for the upcoming summer concerts at Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel, stating that they were well-received in 2022. He anticipates another year of providing entertainment for all guests under the mesmerizing summer night sky in 2025.
