The prestigious Academy of Country Music Award nomination has been bestowed upon Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort.

Soaring Eagle, the Mount Pleasant casino, has received its third nomination for the prestigious “Casino of the Year — Theater” category by the ACMs. Winning this award for the first time would be a significant achievement for Soaring Eagle.

On May 11, the 58th ACM Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in Frisco, Texas. Serving as hosts for the event will be Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks. Prime Video will exclusively livestream the show, commencing at 8 p.m.

Soaring Eagle seeks first ACM award

In its category, Soaring Eagle is among the five nominated venues, which also comprise Deadwood Mountain Grand in Deadwood, SD; Golden Nugget in Lake Charles, La.; Resorts World Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas; and Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla.

Owned and operated by the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort was established in 1998. Throughout the past decade and more, Soaring Eagle has proudly hosted renowned country music acts such as Luke Bryan, Dustin Lynch, Vince Gill, and Kane Brown.

Soaring Eagle offers two concert venues: a 3,260-seat indoor concert hall and the Soaring Eagle Outdoor Arena, capable of accommodating over 11,000 general admission attendees and more than 5,000 reserved seating guests.

Soaring Eagle’s venues are widely regarded as the top music destinations north of Detroit, surpassing other Michigan casinos in hosting major entertainers. Each summer, they organize the highly anticipated “Outdoor Concert Series,” showcasing renowned artists like Willie Nelson, Jelly Roll, James Taylor, and many more.

Mount Pleasant is in for a treat this May as the renowned Willie Nelson brings his Texas Outlaw Country charm to Soaring Eagle’s entertainment lineup, which is always bursting with both contemporary sensations and iconic legends.

This year, Soaring Eagle has an impressive lineup of noteworthy musical guests.

  • On May 6th, Bobby Pulido will be joined by the talented Gary Hobbs as a special guest.
  • On May 26th, there will be a concert featuring Godsmack alongside Bullet for My Valentine and Bad Wolves.
  • On May 27th, there will be a fantastic performance by Willie Nelson & Family, accompanied by Jelly Roll.
  • On June 15th, there will be a concert featuring Brooks & Dunn alongside Scotty McCreery.
  • On June 23, James Taylor will be performing alongside his All-Star Band.
  • August 3: Kane Brown

The state of Michigan is home to the largest casino, Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort. With over 200,000 square feet of gaming floor, it offers an extensive selection of entertainment options. Underwood, Aldean Seek 4th ACM Entertainer of the Year Awards

The Academy of Country Music Awards bestows honors across over 40 categories, and one of the most esteemed accolades is the “Entertainer of the Year.” This year, the list of nominees includes Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, and Morgan Wallen. Notably, Aldean and Underwood have each triumphed three times in this category, while Lambert secured the victory in 2022.

In addition to that, Lambert has received a nomination for the Female Artist of the Year category alongside Kelsea Ballerini, Ashley McBride, Carly Pearce, and Lainey Wilson. The nominees for Male Artist of the Year include Brown, Combs, Stapleton, and Wallen, along with Jordan Davis.

Since their establishment in 1966, the ACM awards have been bestowed upon numerous renowned figures in country music. Among the esteemed recipients are Loretta Lynn, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams Jr., George Strait, Garth Brooks, and Vince Gill.
